Failed payments in Naira aren't gone.
They're stuck.
Reclaim connects to Paystack, chases down failed mobile money, card, and bank transfer payments with SMS follow-up, and gets most of it back — priced in Naira, and free until we recover something.

The problem
It's not churn. It's a payment stuck in the pipes.
A failed payment on Paystack rarely means the customer left on purpose. More often it's a network drop, an empty mobile money float at the wrong moment, or a bank that blinked. The money was there — it just didn't land.
Mobile money & network failures
Wallet had funds, but network congestion or a telco timeout broke the transaction.
Bank declines & failed transfers
Temporary bank-side friction — insufficient balance today, resolved by payday.
FX & capital-control blocks
A card blocked for foreign spend, or a transaction caught by a compliance rule.
Expired or blocked cards
Same story as anywhere else — just a smaller share of failures here than mobile money.
Exact share varies by rail, country, and customer base — we'll show you your real breakdown the moment you connect an account.
Why Reclaim
Built for how payments actually work here.
Most recovery tools were built for subscription businesses in the US and Europe, chasing expired cards on a monthly billing cycle. That's not the failure pattern here.
Built elsewhere
Expired cards. Missed renewals. One failure pattern, retried on a fixed schedule.
Built for here
- Mobile money float empty at the wrong moment
- Bank transfer times out, resolves itself by payday
- Network drops a transaction mid-flight
Reclaim was built by BuildNest Studio around that reality, so follow-ups land when the money is actually likely to be there — not on a schedule copied from somewhere else.
How it works
No card data, no engineering, no waiting on a sales call.
Step 01
Connect
Add your Paystack secret key so we can read your transactions — no card numbers ever touch our servers. Ten minutes, no developer required.
Step 02
Analyze
We pull 90 days of failed transactions across every rail — card, bank transfer, USSD, mobile money — and show exactly what's recoverable.
Step 03
Recover
SMS reaches customers even on a spotty connection, no inbox or app required — just a text and a retry link. Sequences go out on a schedule tuned to mobile money float cycles and bank paydays, not generic card-expiry timing built for somewhere else.
Why now
Between "chase it yourself" and tools that were never built for here.
Enterprise dunning tools are priced in dollars, sold through a sales call, and tuned for card-expiry logic. Everyone else is doing it by hand.
| Comparison criteria | Manual follow-up | USD enterprise tools | Reclaim |
|---|---|---|---|
| Typical recovery rate | 30–40% | 60–70% | 60–70% |
| Billing currency | — | USD, card-charge risk | Naira |
| Getting started | Ongoing, by hand | Sales call, weeks | Under 10 minutes |
| Entry cost | Free, but hours of chasing | $99–250+/mo minimum | ₦0 to start (Pay-on-Recovery) |
Why not an agent
You could point an AI agent at this. Here's what it would miss.
General-purpose AI agent platforms can connect to Paystack too — retry a failed charge, draft a follow-up, check a webhook. That's a real option now, not a hypothetical.
Built elsewhere
Configure an agent yourself. Retry on a generic schedule. Follow up by email, because that's the default everywhere else.
Built for here
- Knows a failed mobile money payment often succeeds again by Friday, not immediately
- Follows up by SMS, because that's the channel that actually gets a reply here
- Tuned to bank transfer timeouts and payday cycles — not card-expiry logic built for a different market
A general agent will do what you tell it to. It won't know that timing is often the whole difference between a recovered payment and a lost one — because that's not something you configure, it's something you have to already know about how money moves here. Reclaim was built around that knowledge from the start, not bolted on as a workflow.

Your keys. Your money. Full transparency on how we protect both.
Reclaim needs access to your Paystack account to detect and recover failed payments — here's exactly what that means and doesn't mean.
What we access
Your Paystack secret key, used only to read failed transaction data and trigger recovery sequences (SMS reminders, retry logic). We never touch your funds directly — all recovered payments settle through Paystack the same way they always have.
How it's protected
Your key is encrypted at rest using AES-256-GCM, stored separately from your business data, and never logged in plaintext, including in our own support tooling.
What you control
Revoke access at any time from your dashboard — takes effect immediately, no support ticket required. You can also generate a new Paystack key and simply not update it with us; access dies instantly.
What we don't do
We don't resell data, we don't use your transaction data to train anything, and we don't share access with anyone outside the systems needed to run recovery sequences.
Built by BuildNest Studio — a registered Nigerian company (Vanif Designs, RC 2895338), not an anonymous tool.
FAQ
Questions we get asked
Is our payment data safe?
We never see or store full card numbers. Your Paystack secret key is encrypted before it's stored, and used only server-side to read your transaction history.
Why SMS instead of email?
Because that's where your customers actually respond. Email-first dunning was built for a different market — we follow up where the reply rate already lives.
What happens if you don't recover anything?
On Pay-on-Recovery, you owe nothing. On paid tiers, you still owe the flat fee, but the recovery share only applies to money we actually get back — same incentive, either way.
Which rails do you support?
Paystack today — cards, bank transfers, USSD, and mobile money. Flutterwave is coming soon, with more pan-African currencies and rails on the near-term roadmap.
Is there a contract?
No. Every plan is month-to-month. Move up, down, or off whenever it stops making sense.
Every week you wait is more Naira stuck for good.
